Newport Digital announces Memory for HP N4000 Enterprise Server
Tustin, CA -- September 15, 1999 -- Newport Digital announces 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB memory sets for the HP N4000 Enterprise Server. The memory consists of a pair of 278-pin proprietary Dual In-line Memory Modules (DIMMs). The N4000 has 1 to 4 memory carriers. Each memory carrier has eight DIMM slots. The memory installs as pairs. The maximum memory for the N4000 is 32GB. The N-Class memory subsystem provides low latency and high bandwidth. The peak memory bandwidth for a system with a single memory carrier is 1.92 GB/sec. The peak memory bandwidth for a system with 4 memory carriers is 7.6 GB/sec. The N4000 uses 125MHz synchronous drams (SDRAMs). The memory subsystem uses a novel clocking scheme that allows the SDRAMs to operate at 120MHz.
Newport Digital memory has a lifetime warranty. Newport Digital provides documentation and support for installing memory in your HP Server.
